You can find your Nectar card number in a couple of ways. Firstly, you can either log in to your Nectar account and check the details on your dashboard. Secondly, you can call the customer service line of your Nectar card provider (which is currently Sainsbury’s.)
Once you’ve activated your Nectar card, you’ll be able to book rewards directly from the Nectar website or from the Nectar mobile app. You can also do this from the retailers’ websites as well, but this will have to be done manually as you won’t be able to use the Nectar online booking system. This way, you can book and redeem your rewards whenever you want and wherever you want. You can check your Nectar points balance and usage history in ‘My account’ section of the Nectar website or in the Nectar mobile app. You can also view all the products your Nectar card can be redeemed against, such as Grocery, Fuel, Money Off Vouchers, Restaurant Meals, Travel, and more. You can also see how many points you have available to spend on these products.

Yes, there is, but it’s a very minor and easily avoidable one. When you activate your Nectar card and link it to your Sainsbury’s account, you may notice that the points you’ve earned so far will be slashed by a quite noticeable percentage. This is due to the fact that all Nectar points earned before activation are Sainsbury’s own points, while those earned after activation are Nectar points. If you want to keep those Sainsbury’s points, you can just leave your Nectar card as it is. You won’t be able to activate your card online, but you can link it to any other existing account you might have. So, to avoid losing those Sainsbury’s points, just leave your Nectar card as it is.
